Currently, there are two calendars of Van Buren's papers. In 1910, the Library of Congress produced a calendar of Van Buren documents held in its collection. Chadwyck-Healey also produced a print calendar of the Papers of Martin Van Buren microfilm edition (1989). While both calendars are helpful, neither is comprehensive, and they contain errors and omissions.
