Description

Jonas Earll Jr. (1786-1846) was the sheriff of Onondaga County, NY from 1815 to 1819, in which role he corresponded with the state Attorney General, MVB, about outstanding arrest warrants in his county. Earll was a member of the state assembly from 1820 to 1821, and later a state senator from 1823 to 1827 as a member of the Bucktails. He was a representative to the US Congress from 1827 to 1831 as a Jacksonian.
