John Holland to MVB, 27 October 1817


John Ferguson has been Imprisoned more than thirty days on the Mitimus of which The foregoing is a coppy will you have the Goodness assoon as convenient to inform me wheather I ought To discharge him or to keep him in custody untill The fine is paid or untill the experation of the Six months as stated in the commititure our Lawyers do not agree in opinion which has Rendered it necessary for me to trouble you for Your opinion on the matter Your answer will Oblige me
