Jacob Barker to B[enjamin] F[ranklin] Butler, 22 October 1817

Dr Friend 

You have herewith a coppy of a letter I wrote the Cashr on the 11th to which I have had no reply on the same day I wrote to you requesting you to call at the Bank and receive the money and remit it to me by mail, to which no reply has been recd do me the favor to apply at the Bank and enquire if the money has been collected and if it has please receive it and forward it to me by the Steam Boat if it has not been collected enquire if my letter enclosing the note has been Recd and inform me by first mail the state of the Business. I expect Mr. Halleck will be with you in a few days as he has it in contemplation to take another trip to Sandy Hill.
