The People of the State of New-York, by the Grace of GOD, Free and Independent: TO Smith Cogswell & Phebe his wife
Greeting. WE command you that you personally appear before our Chancellor, in our Court of Chancery, on the Twenty Second day of June next wheresoever the said Court shall than be, to answer to a Bill of Complain exhibited against you in our said Court, by our Attorney General in our behalf and to do further and receive what our said Court shall have considered in that behelf: and this you are not to omit under the penalty of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars. WITNESS James Kent Esquire, Chancellor of our said State, at the City of Albany the Twenty Second day of May in the forty first year of our Independence.
