Mr Jay has intimated to me his Intention of proceeding in the several Ejectment Suits brought by the Representatives of Donald Fishers against Tenants who hold under the State. It will be necessary therefore, if no Compromise is in agitation, for us to be prepared to argue the matter before the Supreme Court of the United States at Washington at the next Term upon the Writ Error. You will of Course take the matter into Consideration & allow me the Pleasure of hearing from you upon the subject.
