TO MARTIN VAN BUREN, Esquire, Surrogate
of the County of Columbia.
The Petition of Lydia Pulver mother of
Elisabeth Pulver who is the daughter
of Teunis Pulver Deceased.
Respectfully Represents.
That Elizabeth Pulver,
is a Minor, within the age of fourteen years, and that according to the best of the knowledge and belief of your Petitioner she was ^is^ Eleven about ^eleven^ years of age on the [intentionally blank] day of [intentionally blank] lasts [intentionally blank]
That the said Infant is owner and legally entitled to certain real & personal estate in the County of Columbia [intentionally blank] in which estate your Petitioner is apprehensive that the said Infant may sustain loss, for want of a proper person legally empowered to secure and improve the same.
That your Petitioner therefore prays the aid of this Court in the premises, under the Statute of the State of New-York, passed the 5th day of April, 1802, entitled, "An Act authorising Surrogates to appoint Guardians for Infants;" and that Lydia Pulver Gideon P. Wolcott may be appointed Guardian to the person and estate of the said Infant, until she is fourteen years of age.
