This Indenture made this fifth day of october, one thousand eight hundred and nine, Between Jacobus Van Deusen of the first part & Martin Van Buren & William Pulver of the second Witnesseth that the said Jacobus, for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to him paid & also for Divers other Good causes of Consideration Since thereunto moving hath granted Bargained & sold & by these presents Doth Grant Bargain & sell unto the said Martin & William all the Right Title & Interest of the said Jacobus of and to all and singular those parts of that certain tract of land situate in the Town of Kinderhook commonly called the Great Possession taken by Lucas Goes decd. & others, which are in the possession of the proprietors in the said possession or any other person Holding by from or under them. To Have and To Hold all and Singular the said Premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part their Heirs and assigns for ever, except the lands surrendered by Samuel Van Slyck which are not included in this Grant, and the said Jacobus covenants and agrees to & with the said Martin & William to Indemnify Warrant & Defend the premises to the said Martin & William of and from all claims made to its <illegible> <illegible> him, In Witness Whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands & Seals the day & year above written.
