A communication from the attorney general was read, in the words following, to wit:

The attorney general has carefully examined and duly considered the petition of Clement C. Clark, as also the bill of Mary Clark, and the act reported by the committee to whom the said petition was referred. He concurs with the said committee, in the report they have made to the honorable the Assembly, and is of opinion that the act herewith submitted is correct, and well adapted to the petitioners' case.
