My dear Son
You <stick> to me in the way of expense at least. The enclosed after travelling the rounds have hit me instead of you. I have spent a very pleasant time here & leave this morg for Geneva. We had a large & <monied> party at Mr <Greig's> yesterday & things passed off extremely well. When you pass through here make yourself acquainted with Col. Blossom who though not always discreet is always sincere & active. Advise our friends to publish the correspondence between the Treasury & the Bank in a handBill with the remarks of the Nashville Republican Globe & some additional certain remarks which you might prepare. I was quite unwell the night I arrived here from eating too freely of Col. B.'s squirrels but am now quite well again. I enclose you the proceedings of the young mens meeting here which was by all accounts a great affair.
In haste yours
M.VanBuren
