MVB to J[ohn] Townsend, 27 February 1829

My dear Sir

Read the enclosed & say whether I shall send it. I must write by tonights mail. If you conclude to go with me I shall insist upon making your salary $2250 & can satisfy that it <was> justice nor favor in me to do so. With other matters it ^your income^ could I have no doubt be still farther <advanced>.
