MVB to C[hurchill] C[aldom] Cambreleng, 29 October 1828

My dear Sir

I have nothing to say to you except that I am busy and wish to be assured that you are safe. Some apprehensions expressed by one of our friends recently from Nyork is the cause of this note. Our success will be triumphant but would be incomplete if you & Verplanck were lost. Your reply does you infinite credit. Write me all about your affairs & the Major.

Yours truly

M.V.Buren
