My dear Sir

Hamilton tells me that you have your address written. Pray send it up by the next boat so that we can give it an honest parentage if our board of censors here think it will do.

You must suppress your self love for the general good. I think you for Woods letter. Tell Hamilton he must not long delay his letter on the subject of Jacksons personal character for which I have written to him.
