MVB to R[ichard] Peters, 4 June 1828

Dear Sir

Do me the favour to send me the Volume of your reports on a loose sheet containing the Eden case in the course of next week directed to me at Nyork City.

Judge Thompson as I anticipated has no objection to the publication of my brief & did not intend by any thing he said to discourage its insertion. As there could certainly be no pretense for complaint on the part of the opposing counsel after they had in terms refused to argue and as the brief was actually submitted I am wholly at a loss to conceive why or how a question was raised upon the point. For myself as I stated to you I am indifferent but I find that my clients view the matter in a different light.

With respects your Obdt Sert

MVBuren
