Harrodsburg

Gentlemen

This will be handed you by Mr Kendall already known to you as the Editor of the Ky Argus. Mr. K visits the north to see his parents & upon business which he will explain. In making Mr K Known to you I introduce a gentleman who has done & is qualified to do more to sustain the Republican party than any other in the western country, I can add with great truth that his private work is acknowledged by all; to such an individual I am persuaded you will feel disposed to render every service in your power.

With unaffected Esteem

& respect I am &c
