MVB to Rufus King, 29 April 1825

Albany

Dear Sir,

Yours of the 12th was received at the moment of my departure for Columbia where I have since been confined by indisposition. I have however entirely recovered & in a few days go next on some private business. The fact of the offer of the mission to you had been previously communicated to me & I am happy to learn that you have found no objection to its acceptance. When will you go. If it is not before the middle of June I hope to have the pleasure of seeing you, but whether I do or not my sincere prayer is that health happiness & honour may attend you.

With respect & esteem

Your obedt. Sevt.

M.VBuren
