Thomas Worth Olcott | The Papers of Martin Van Buren

Thomas Worth Olcott (1795-1880) was born in Hudson, New York, the nephew of Gorham Akin Worth. Olcott became a banker in Albany starting at the Farmers' and Mechanics' Bank and a devoted supporter of Martin Van Buren throughout his life.
